Is your equipment modular?

Is it better to weigh or count my products?

So this depends totally on the weight variance of each individual piece vs the amount per package. If you need a count of 5 or higher we can use our scale + counting technology. But it uses the preset weight of each product to calculate the target weight and therefore achieve the count. Example each piece weighs 10 grams Target is 10 pieces or 100 grams. If each piece has a +- of 0.25 grams we can achieve the count reliable on a scale. If each pieces has a +- of 2 grams then we can have a miss count if too many pieces in the batch are over or under weight. In this circumstance we suggest the CAM Singulator for accurate counting.

Can powders and granular products run on the same scale?

The proper feeding solution is recommended after we test and see the actual products. However a general rule is if the powder is too dusty you need to confine it. If the granular items are bulky you need to scale them. So a dusty flower should run on our Auger fillers. A mix of granola with nuts should run on a scale. We have done it many times so contact us.
