Mixed-Product Variety Packs
The Opportunity
Retail buyers want more combinations of the products they love, and they want them fast. Whether you can say yes often comes down to your equipment.
-
Redeploy Labour
Hand-packing variety packs ties up your people with slow, repetitive work. Automating the job frees your team for higher-value tasks across your floor. You can take on more without adding headcount.
-
Increase Flexibility
New flavours, new counts and new configurations shouldn’t mean a new line every time. The right system handles them all, so you can respond to your customers instead of turning work away.
-
Automate While Maintaining Flexibility
You don’t have to choose between speed and adaptability. CAM systems bring the consistency of automation with a modular design that grows and changes as your product mix does.
Flexibility That Creates More Opportunity
Today’s variety packs go well beyond same-flavour assortments. Brands want granola bars beside nuts, sweet beside savoury, and a co-packer who can deliver it. CAM brings them together downstream, so you can say yes.
-
Run Mixed, Assorted, or Single-Flavor Packs on One System
One system handles it all: mixed-product packs, assorted multipacks and single-flavour runs across different flavours, products and brands.
-
Create More Pack Counts and Configurations
One modular system handles a range of counts, formats and pack types. When a new flavour or product joins the lineup, you can expand with an additional feeding station instead of starting over.
-
Change Between Runs More Efficiently
Recipe changes happen at the push of a button. Many setups require no parts swaps between products, and some require no changeover at all.
How a Variety-Pack System Comes Together
Every CAM line is designed around your products, but most variety-pack systems follow five simple steps.
-
Prepare the Package
It starts with your packaging. Cartons and cases are formed, or bags are readied, so each one is set to fill.
-
Feed the Products
Each product or flavour feeds in from bulk at its own station. CAM’s Singulator family lines products up single file, ready for the next step.
-
Weigh or Count
We match the method to your product and your pack. Weighing works well for packs sold by weight, while counting suits packs that promise an exact number of pieces.
-
Build the Variety Pack
Cartons and cases travel past each station and pick up the right products along the way. For bags, items are collected first and then filled together in one smooth step.
-
Close & Finish
The completed pack is closed or sealed, then moves on to case packing, palletizing or the next stage of your line.
